It’s been a while since our trip to Europe, so I thought it best to finish off the series. Our final two destinations after Belgium was France to see Versailles and Paris and then finally Amsterdam.
Following the week in Scotland our next destination was Ghent where we were due to spend a week celebrating the wedding of Duncan and Sarah. The week turned out to be rather relaxing and an appropriate follow up to Scotland before heading to the hustle and bustle that was Paris.
So as I should have predicted, I made no time for posting updates to my blog while I was away. Instead I spent my down time geo-tagging and uploading photos which kept me more than busy enough throughout my trip. Rather than attempt to cover the entire vacation in one big post, I’ll post an update per a country, in order of visit, over the coming days and weeks.
Tomorrow we finally head off for Europe! The bags have all been packed, unpacked, repacked, unpacked again and contents photographed for insurance purposes and finally packed one last time. There’s really nothing else to do now than to show up at the airport and hope that everything goes smoothly, flights are on time and we arrive in the right spot all in one piece, hopefully with our bags.
Me and my fiancé are eagerly counting down the days until we head to the UK/Europe for a five week vacation. It’s a very exciting time given neither of us have really done much in the way of travel and certainly nothing of substance abroad. The trip started out with me being asked to be a groomsmen at a friends wedding, and has spawned out from there. During our time overseas we’ll be visiting Italy, Scotland, Belgium (to attend a close friends wedding), France and Netherlands.
