A Week In Scotland

The second leg of our overseas trip was a visit to Scotland for just over a week. As mentioned previously in my post on Rome, Scotland ultimately proved to be our favourite destination. Our time there consisted of two parts. The first half we spent travelling north by car from Edinburgh, past Inverness to the town of Dingwall before returning back to Edinburgh after a stop at the Loch Ness. The second half of our stay in Scotland was half a week in Edinburgh itself. It was the time in the Highlands that we particularly enjoyed.

Take Off!

Tomorrow we finally head off for Europe! The bags have all been packed, unpacked, repacked, unpacked again and contents photographed for insurance purposes and finally packed one last time. There’s really nothing else to do now than to show up at the airport and hope that everything goes smoothly, flights are on time and we arrive in the right spot all in one piece, hopefully with our bags.

Travel and Games

Me and my fiancé are eagerly counting down the days until we head to the UK/Europe for a five week vacation. It’s a very exciting time given neither of us have really done much in the way of travel and certainly nothing of substance abroad.  The trip started out with me being asked to be a groomsmen at a friends wedding, and has spawned out from there. During our time overseas we’ll be visiting Italy, Scotland, Belgium (to attend a close friends wedding), France and Netherlands.
